One of the oldest studios in the Pittsburgh area, The Clay Cafe has been making smiles for over 15 years.  

The Clay Cafe is dedicated to bringing out the creative genius in everyone by offering a comfortable, fun place to create your own hand painted works of art. We provide a wide selection of unique unfinished pottery items and loads of colors and tools to help you decorate.  Your design is limited only by your imagination!

Painting your own pottery is easy: simply choose an item or two, paint your design, and we do the rest! We are here to offer as much assistance as you need.  If you have a piece in mind that is not offered, please let us know.  We will do our best to locate special requests.

All of our glazes are lead free and non toxic.  Once your piece is fired, it is completely dinner and dishwasher safe.

Owner, artist, Elaine Cassidy is also well known for her custom work.  If you are looking for a special gift, she is the person to call.  She will create a one of a kind piece of art at an affordable price.

While pottery painting is our main focus, the Clay Cafe offers many other options.  Stop in and do a mosaic piece at your convenience or schedule a party to do a canvas painting or glass fusion piece with your group.  If you have an idea, call Elaine.  She is always willing to try something new!
